Highline trail glacier. At the end of my first full day in Glacier National Park, I was exhausted. I had just finished a 15-mile hike on the Highline Trail, and I was more than ready to hit the road for the long drive back to my motel room in East Glacier Park (about an hour away from Logan Pass). But, I convinced myself that the sunset would be worth waiting for.

But the Highline Trail is for the brave because the first part is carved into a cliff edge, and it’s narrow – but don’t let that scare you off. It is not as scary as it sounds! It’s a longer trail that takes you to the Grinnell Glacier, so it’s definitely worth your time. For many, it’s their favorite hike.
