June 3, 2019. One of the greatest things about Boston is that there's a seafood shack (as in, literally an aluminium trailer) sitting right in between the skyscrapers, million dollar condos, and international banks in Downtown Boston. We don't understand the economics behind James Hook's continued existence, but we're glad it's still here.
The beauty of James Hook & Co is that it's a restaurant and a market all in one. There's freezers full of frozen foods and soups. There's a display with fresh seafood and crab cakes. There's a whole wall of tanks dedicated to live lobsters - regular, big, and REALLY BIG. The prices were pretty decent. I was able to take home lobsters for $9.99/lbs.
