Stellaris contingency counter. Finally managed to take down that massive fleet of theirs that is defending one of their hubs and took heavy losses in the process. As I moved my fleet, what's left of it anyway, into position to bombard their world, a freaking Contingency fleet literally spawned in thin air above the Hub that is being bombarded, and completely wiped out the ragged remains of my forces.

ya in retrospect 2500 was too late. I pushed the date back because the galaxy was smaller and low habitability, but i was able to just run over that first hub without even stopping to repair and refit, and I have ~1.1 million minerals in sector storage, plus the 130k in liquidity.

Either Arc Lightning and Cloud Lightning battleships, or Disruptor corvettes since the Contingency sucks vs evasion. How do you guys get 200k - 300k fleet power? Lots and lots of minerals and ...

In this post the OP compares various Battleship loadouts against a Contingency fleet. After the tests are complete the OP states that Loadout C is the best ship against the Contingency. However this is only true in an extremely non realistic scenario. That scenario being that you only have access to 300,000 minerals. This government is a materialistic form of democracy, where citizens use computer networks to vote directly on most matters regarding the state. So, its 2350, and I got the ghost signal event. I found out it is the AI crisis trigger, which I am super afraid of, since I only have a 75k fleet. Since I am playing a xenophobe, I am in no federation, so I will be alone if it hits me. What is the best weapon load out for my fleet, so that I might stand ...The Contingency has two main weapons: Seeker Drones and anti-armor. The drones are the most relevant, as they bypass 100% of shields and 60% of armor. These can evicerate high-evasion vessels like corvettes, but are less effective against high-HP units. The primary counter is AA and your own fighters from cariers. The hangers and point D on hanger sections of B ships pretty much completely nullify their entire damage output as they mostly shoot missiles and have their own hangers. Only their weaker kenetic shots make it through. Then the X and L bships take out their ships. My mix is about 40% hanger b ships 60% X L Bships. 2.Unbidden use disintegrator weapons. These have a -50% damage to shields, where they do more damage to armor so defensively, shields are the way to go on your ships. Their ships primarily have a lot of shields, so your best offensive bet is weapons that either tear through shields (anything kinetic, especially autocannons IIRC) or something that ...

Luckily, Contingency weapons do reduced damage against shield, so you can just use shields on all your ships and they will become hard to kill. The Contingency was (apparently) kidnapping members of my founder species to build their synthetic forces. I was playing the Xanid Suzerainty, and by the time I had become a synth empire, I had a huge amount livestock, so I ended up getting infiltrated on some level anyway despite synth empires supposedly being immune to that. And your picks are Determined Exterminator (ungodly!) and Maintenance Protocols. You can search for the system though, then you'll know if that's what happened.I'm kind of stuck in a stalemate with the contingency where I can rebuild faster than they can destroy my systems, but I can't seem to get enough military power to rival their homeplanets since they're 200k strong. My fallen empire allies are to lazy to use any of their fleets to crack the planet either.
